Nowadays companies are hiring more and more social media managers for their firms and it is not rare to see social media team groups actually outnumber the search groups. The reason this trend is on the rise is due to the enormous impact social networking is having on marketing strategies.

The SEO team of content developers in an enterprise passes a large amount of time creating work together with the developers and other branches of the company, but at times the social media development side is neglected.

To be able to integrate SEO teams into the social media development system a focused training should be planned and the two teams should work together at achieving the same objective, that of maximizing the impact of the content produce for the company.

How can the SEO team work with social media managers?

If you are a large or small enterprise make sure your social media managers get essential training on SEO. You should not focus on turning the social media group into experts in SEO, but you will need to make sure they use SEO when planning the social media strategy.

Keep in mind that most social media and community managers do not have the technical know-how and jargon to understand certain facets. Hence, you will need to focus on the H1 tags, page titles, Meta tags and other similar SEO issues.

Often blog-related issues will also be taken over by the social media group, so it is work giving them enough training to help them develop blog posts that are optimized for search engines.

During their training make sure they understand the importance of keywords, as many do not clearly understand the impact key words can have on page ranking. Once they really grasp the essential role keywords play, they can start getting acquainted with the different keyword tools.

Most people have misconceptions on the choice of keywords, as they presume that the highest number of searches will be equivalent to the choice of keywords. However, SEO does not really work that way, as there are other more effective approaches when choosing the most effective keywords.

It is fundamental the social media group understand how to use the keyword tools in order to collect data in a methodical way. Once they have understood how to work with these tools they can create SEO effective social content.

Once search engines integrate more and more tweets in the SERPs, the tweets will start showing up in greater numbers for the normal keyword requests. The internal search engines, including Twitter’s update their system continuously. This means that you have to adapt to if you want to appear within Twitter or Facebook too.

Social media managers should learn how to insert effective keyword in each tweet. If they can target one same keyword while creating a post for a blog as well as some tweets, this will have a good impact on research and page optimization and be able to reach out to more social networks too.
