The aforementioned title will obviously catch the attention of bloggers and website owners who are keen on optimizing their sites for search engines but again, it is not a guarantee that it will. It is a known fact that all bloggers and webmasters definitely know a thing about or two about and also how to go about. However, it cannot be stated with absolute certainty that every blogger and webmaster knows how to use keywords and tags properly in their SEO campaign. Perhaps all you were told when you were starting out is that of you need a blog or website that is highly optimizable; then WordPress is the way to go. What they failed to tell you or you failed to research on is the fact that SEO on a WordPress blog is not just about owning a WordPress blog or pumping any SEO plug-in that you can come across to your site. The truth is that your WordPress blog will not optimize itself and you need to make the effort in order to achieve the desired Google rankings.

Any blogger or webmaster who is serious about their SEO campaign knows only too well the importance of keywords and tags to search engines and SEO. Keyword and tags are sued by search engines to rank and index your site and as such are very important. If you want your WordPress blog or website posts or articles indexed by search engines, then proper use of keywords and WordPress tags cannot be overemphasized.

In any of the articles that you are writing; keywords and tags need to be used in a proper way. The first step is to make sure that the keywords and tags that you use can easily show up in the article. Failure to do this will place your article in the bottom of your niche on search engines. This is irrespective of how catchy the content of the article you are writing is. The frequency of the keyword you use in your article also determines to a very large extent the ranking of your article. If your keyword appears only once in your article, then the chances of finding it at the top of your niche in search engines is close to zero if not zero. The keyword needs to appear enough times in your article in order to influence the search engine indexing and ranking.

To make this possible, try to use the keyword at least five times.
It is also important to make sure that the keyword or tag definitely appears in your title. The title is just about the first thing that search engines will spot when indexing your article. Placing your keyword here will make the article gain priority in the search engine rankings. Even as you use keywords, make sure you do not stuff them on your site as the search engine will definitely notice. Also, when choosing the keywords to use in your article, ensure that they define what the article is talking about. Just because you have used a word frequently in an article does not mean that it qualifies to be a keyword so beware.
