How Humanity Plays a Fundamental Role in the Success of Web Designing

Technology in the field of web designing seems to be taking over the human side of both the creation of designs and human relationships as far as business contact is concerned. The human touch appears to be on the way to extinction. However, this humanity trait can be reintegrated in web designing technology as this is essentially a creative discipline in which humanity can play an essential role.

The Influence of Technology on Web Designing
When web designers start on a project, the first issue they have in mind is the actual creation of the product. Although this is true, the web designer also has to work with the client in order to conceive the whole project design and most importantly, the logo of the client’s business. This means that the web designer must clearly understand the client’s needs and the promotional message that needs to be transmitted to potential customers. Being aware of these requirements, involves a human interaction and the understanding of how people react and what they are drawn to.

The Speed of Communication May Hinder Effectiveness
It is true that with the communication options offered nowadays people no longer need to relate to one another directly. This exchange, which excludes human contact may be practical but can at times be hindering, and causes misunderstanding that will decrease the effectiveness of a web designer’s work. The web designer has to relate more often with the client, adding more information and constant feedback, which in the long run can be quite time-consuming.

Where do Designers get their Inspiration from?
Basically, web designers are influenced by other designers’ work. This does not involve outright copying, but it is close enough. However, this too is a form of human inter-relationship, especially, when we consider how important it is for web designers to communicate their experiences and problems with their colleagues. Many web designers also help sustain charities and social causes when they keep the human aspect in mind, such as when they offer their services for supporting international causes. Strangely enough it is precisely in these cases that web designer seem to produce their best work.

This brings to the conclusion that humanity does play an important role in the creativity of web designs and needs to be reintegrated in the web designing field. This can be done using several platforms, such as video conferences that bring in the visual aspect of communication and body language that is missing through e-mail communication or voice exchanges. The direct and instant forms of communication also contribute in enhancing the human side of relationships as messages can be sent instantly and there is a “real life” exchange among people.
In addition, web designers can add a human element directly in their portfolios. This means that they can use a larger span of representations of their work instead of technical images that do not really show that the web designer can create a project that serves a specific aim. Clients find it easier to relate more easily to a process, which followed a human line of thought.
